As a huge fan of Nirvana and the Foo Fighters I wanted to create a book on the career of the great Dave Grohl. I focused in on the use of photography with over lapping type to give the book the loud, grundy feel of Daves music, while keeping it in a strong, cohesive grid system. The publication is a coffee table book sized at 12 inches by 12 inches with Helvetica Neue Light used for the body copy throughout and Helvetica Neue Bold used for the heading type.
